- The instructional strategies that would fit well with blogs in the classroom would be Indirect Instruction as it is student centered. Scaffolding would also work well as you could use a Blog to provide a framework for an investigation.
- The instructional strategies that would NOT fit well with blogs in the classroom would be direct instruction as it is highly teacher directed.
- Even though at first, I didn't see how Blogs could be used in my secondary math classroom, I now see many possible uses. I could set up a Classroom Blog that could facilitate assessment and enrichment by allowing myself to post writing prompts, links, and other resources for students. Also, a Student Blog could be used for journals or learning logs.

I had the same thoughts in how blogs would not work well Jen. I didn't think about having the students do journals/logs for what they learned. I think that could be very helpful, especially for us math teachers.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of using blogs for journals I have kids write them every week but often they papers mysteriously get "lost" after a couple weeks.
